Flint River Veterinary Clinic is Seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our new mixed animal practice in Roberta, Georgia. We are looking for a motivated team player who is passionate about veterinary medicine and is comfortable working with a variety of species.
Our practice provides comprehensive veterinary care for small and large animals, as well as pocket pets and exotic species. This is an exciting opportunity to help build a new clinic from the ground up alongside a collaborative and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting the veterinarian and head technician in establishing and maintaining high standard veterinary care for all patients.
Communicating with clients to obtain patient histories, obtain consent, explain medications, collect payments, schedule appointments, and answer questions.
Safely handle and restrain patients for examinations and treatments, assist with treatments, wound care, and collection of diagnostic samples and imaging under the direction of the veterinarian or head technician.
Operate and maintain in-house laboratory equipment, diagnostic equipment, anesthesia machines, and dental equipment.
Enter information into the practice management software.
Prepare medications.
Feeding, walking, bathing, medicating patients and boarders.
Clean kennels and hospital premises, perform laundry duties and stock supplies.
Assist front desk staff as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital preferred.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to assist with safely handling pets, lifting and carrying animals of various sizes, walking, standing, crouching and kneeling in sometimes uncomfortable positions.

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable professional wo enjoys working with people and providing outstanding client service in a fast-paced veterinary environment. The Veterinary Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for our clients and plays an essential role in the daily operations of the hospital.
Our practice provides comprehensive veterinary care for small and large animals, as well as pocket pets and exotic species. This is an exciting opportunity to help build a new clinic from the ground up alongside a collaborative and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome clients and patients while providing exceptional customer service.
Maintain accurate client and patient records within the practice management software, including medical records and hospital documentation.
Coordinate front office operations and maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
Answer incoming phone calls, schedule appointments, respond to client inquiries, and communicate effectively with the veterinary team.
Process client payments and assist with invoicing and estimates.
Dispense prescribed medications and provide client instructions as directed.
Assist the veterinary team with other duties as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital preferred.
Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
Strong computer skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
